Halloween.

Halloween
by Harry Behn
Illustrated by Greg Couch

I have loved every single book illustrated by Greg Couch. This book is just as beautifully illustrated - rich colors, tiny details, fantastical elements, textured, light and dark intertwining, the intensity of color on the dark. The boys just stare at the images, and want to read and re-read. They even touch the pages, as if to see if they can feel something of that texture coming off of the page. Very cool book!

OOOO...I so love children's books...We have not read this one or drooled over the illustrations.

Miss Fiona's Stupendous Pumpkin Pie by Mark Kimball Moulton Illustrated by Karen Hillard Crouch is one of our favorite October books.

oh yeah...and Scarecrow Pete by the same author and illustrator(from above post) is a great book too! Oh I could go on and on...and The Little Old Lady Who was Not Afraid of Anything by Linda Williams is also a very fun and interactive book for little ones...well even my almost 8 year olds still love it!
