long winter days.

This little guy has been sick so we have been home taking care of him. His big brother worried about him so - every time G cried out or got sick, A would sob "OH NO! MY BROTHER!" Sweet boys.

In the middle of taking care of sick boy this week I had an acupressure massage appointment that took me out. I know the work needed to be done to relieve some issues, but wow! It is amazing how getting stuff moving can really unload into the system. The sore/migraine/fatigue isn't so hot when my child is sick and not sleeping well. I just want to curl up and sleep in a sunny window! Yep, kind of like her:

Today I did some baking with the boys. The wonderful smell of baking banana bread wafting through the house makes everyone feel a little better, I think. Warm, familiar, comforting.

Yum.

We have a new science kit we are ready to explore, gardening plans to finish, seeds to purchase, sewing to complete, places to go, and V-Day projects to start! I think we are ready!

Do you have arnica nearby? I hear it's great for soreness/aches/pain.

Sorry to hear the sickies are back, but glad to know he has so many people taking care of him!

Hope he is feeling better soon. It's not fun being sick... I have a sick child on the sofa besides my today. Eirin is full of fever, and I hope she'll sleep it off.

The sience kit looks like lots of fun :)

we're thinking about him down here. It seems that we've also had to work through illness more often these past few months with our little guy AND our 8 year old...the nebulizer has gotten quite a workout since hte turn of the seasons.

I hope you all heal soon!

Aw, I"m sorry he's sick, too!
Yup, moving and releasing toxins and energy can be very, very messy.
Sounds like you guys can use some extra loves. I'll send a couple of buckets full right away!

Such empathy between them. Too gorgeous.

I've only ever done acupressure on myself, never had it done. Definitely not the same.
Prefer this to acupuncture. Dunno, needles just don't do it for me.

Look after each other.

Oh, goodness. I do hope this is the last bout with sickness, and that, as the days grow longer, everyone's health and endurance will improve.

I am glad to hear you are all ready to be out and about!

isn't it awful when they're sick. Hope you are all on the mend and enjoy a nice calming tea with the banana bread.

Hope you all feel better soon. I love how sweet your boys are to each other.

Where do you get the acupressure done at? I would like to try that sometime and I live in Madison.

Have you started playing with the science kit? I'm considering ordering it. Does it come with kid-level explanations?

I hope G is feeling better soon! The two kids and I are all down with a cold right now, and Papa's not far behind. Why does this never happen when I'm *between* work assignments??

We just had slices of rosemary bread fresh from our oven...that is just the best part of winter sometimes!

I am desperately in need of getting some body work done. It's been far too long.

Cranio-sacral always gives me this crazy buzz, like I'm high. Especially if it's been a while.
